ClearSpace Home can assist with selling unwanted items on your behalf, helping you rehome suitable items through platforms such as Vinted, eBay or auction houses where appropriate. This service is ideal for clothing, accessories and small household items that are in good, saleable condition.

Auction houses are used where appropriate for higher-value, specialist or collectible items that may achieve a better result through professional auction sale.

Items of clothing will be freshly laundered prior to sale where required.

Minimum item value

ClearSpace Home sells items with a minimum expected resale value of £50. This service is intended for items where the time involved in preparing, photographing, listing, managing enquiries and completing the sale is worthwhile.

Fees

A fee of 35% of the final sale price applies to all items sold. This covers preparing items for sale, photographing, creating listings, managing enquiries, handling offers or auctions and co-ordinating the sale process.

Example

If an item sells for £50:

• ClearSpace Home fee (35%): £17.50

• Amount you receive: £32.50

(Platform fees and postage are deducted separately, where applicable.)

Platform fees & postage

Any platform fees, postage costs or associated charges are deducted from the sale proceeds. These costs are not included in the 35% fee.

Item suitability

Items must be clean and in a condition appropriate for resale. ClearSpace Home reserves the right to decline items that are not suitable for resale due to condition, value or likely demand.

Pricing & acceptance of offers

Items are priced based on current market value and experience of resale platforms. Where offers are received, ClearSpace Home will use reasonable judgement when accepting offers unless specific instructions have been agreed in advance.

Unsold items

If an item hasn’t sold after 90 days, we’ll discuss the next steps with you. This may include a price reduction, return of the item or donation to charity, if you’re happy for us to do so. Any return or donation will only be arranged with your prior agreement.

Payments

Sale proceeds, minus agreed fees and costs, will be transferred to you once funds have been released by the selling platform.

Liability

ClearSpace Home is not responsible for buyer dissatisfaction, returns requested by buyers or issues arising from platform policies once an item has been sold.

Right to withdraw the service

ClearSpace Home reserves the right to withdraw this service if selling platform terms change or if the service is no longer viable
